Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi gave Barcelona a 2-0 win over 10-man Villarreal and restored their five-point lead at the top of LaLiga.
Siarez struck with 18 minutes to play at the Estadio de la Ceramica before Messi added a simple second, ending a run of back-to-back draws in the top flight for the Catalans and keeping the title race firmly in their hands.
Messi's goal saw him equal the record of 525 goals in all competitions for the same team in one of Europe's top-five leagues, set by Bayern Munich great Gerd Muller.
Barca, held by second-place Valencia and Celta Vigo in their last two games, had not gone three games without a league win for over a year but found it difficult to break down Javier Calleja's side.
Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique each hit the woodwork but Marc-Andre ter Stegen was called upon to keep the home side at bay, before Raba's red card in the second half left Villarreal up against it.
Barcelona had been short of their best but one moment of slick passing carved open the Villarreal defence and allowed Luis Suarez to break the deadlock, and Messi made the points safe with seven minutes remaining.
Valencia missed the chance to close the gap on LaLiga leaders Barcelona as their unbeaten start to the season ended with a surprise 1-0 defeat to 10-man Getafe on Sunday.
Barca were held to a 2-2 draw by Celta Vigo on Saturday but Markel Bergara thwarted the attempts of Marcelino's side – without injured trio Ezequiel Garay, Jeison Murillo and Goncalo Guedes – to go two points behind Barca, who are now five clear.
Getafe thought they had the lead when Amath Ndiaye deflected Mauro Arambarri's shot into the back of the net, but he was adjudged to be in an offside position.
The hosts' frustrations were added to when Arambarri was shown a second yellow card for a wild lunge on Martin Montoya.
Getafe continued to threaten more and they had a shock lead when Bergara's fierce drive deflected off Gabriel's thigh and flew into the top-right corner.
Dani Parejo saw three first-half free-kicks saved by Vicente Guaita and the former Valencia goalkeeper produced his best stop to push the midfielder's dead-ball effort against the upright with 15 minutes remaining as Marcelino fell to his first defeat at the helm of the visitors.it

Real Madrid's goalscoring concerns arose once more in a scoreless draw away to Athletic Bilbao.
Real Madrid had Sergio Ramos sent off late on and wasted a chance to gain ground in the LaLiga title race with a frustrating 0-0 draw against struggling Athletic Bilbao at San Mames on Saturday.
Barcelona's earlier draw at home to Celta Vigo gave Los Blancos the opportunity to cut the gap in LaLiga to six points, but a recurrence of their wayward finishing was largely to blame for a failure to secure victory.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Toni Kroos were both guilty for letting chances slip in the first half, while the contest might have been different had Karim Benzema not hit the post in just the eighth minute.
Defying the form that has seen them tumble to a concerning 15th, Athletic remained competitive throughout and were not without opportunities to snatch what would have been just a fourth win of the league campaign.
Barcelona dropped points at home in LaLiga for the first time since December 2016 on Saturday, as Celta Vigo left Camp Nou with a battling 2-2 draw thanks to Maxi Gomez's equaliser.
Ernesto Valverde's men looked good value for all three points when Luis Suarez put them 2-1 up just after the hour mark, but Gomez struck soon after to ensure Barca drew a second successive league match following the 1-1 stalemate with Valencia last time out.
Iago Aspas gave Celta the lead, punishing Barca's slow start by rounding off an electric counter-attack with an easy finish, but that only seemed to jolt the home side into life.
Lionel Messi restored parity soon after with a clever finish, before then also hitting the post as Barca took charge.
Barca had to wait to take full advantage of their superiority again, but they did eventually go ahead just after the hour mark, with Suarez rounding off a fine move to become one of the 10 leading scorers in the club's history.
Gomez drew Celta level, though, and ultimately secured the visitors a point despite the home side's late pressure, giving the chasing pack hope of gaining on Barca at the top of the table this weekend.

Jordi Alba scored against his former club to salvage a 1-1 draw for Barcelona in Sunday's top-of-the-table clash against Valencia, but the match was marred by a hugely controversial decision to not allow a first-half Lionel Messi goal.
Messi tried his luck with a first-time effort on the edge of the area after half an hour and goalkeeper Neto fumbled the shot, resulting in the ball crossing the line by about a yard, but referee Ignacio Iglesias Villanueva and his officials failed to spot it, effectively costing Barca two points.
Ernesto Valverde's men produced what was arguably one of their best halves of football so far this season in the first period, as they quickly got to grips with Valencia's intense style and asserted their dominance at Mestalla.
Valencia were significantly more threatening from an attacking perspective in the second half, resulting in Rodrigo turning home from inside the six-yard box.
Barca ensured they returned home with a point, however, as Alba made the most of a sublime Messi pass to keep the club's unbeaten start to the league season and four point lead over Valencia intact, but there will be an undoubted element of frustration over the first-half controversy.

Luis Suarez ended his Barcelona goal drought with a pair of scruffy goals as LaLiga's leaders escaped Leganes with a hard-earned 3-0 win.
Barca were nowhere near their fluent best, but ground out their 11th win from 12 games this term regardless.
Suarez broke his six-game goal drought with a scavenger's effort after an Ivan Cuellar error rendered a promising Leganes start redundant, and the hosts' goalkeeper was left helpless by a deflection as the Uruguay international struck again in the second half, with Paulinho tapping in a late consolation.
At the other end, Marc-Andre ter Stegen made a string of saves to preserve the comfortable nature of the scoreline, with half-time substitute Claudio Beauvue missing two fine Leganes openings.
Daunting trips to Juventus in the Champions League and second-placed Valencia next week now await Ernesto Valverde's side, although this victory ensures they will travel to Mestalla sure of keeping top spot.
